Pistol Recovered from Bike of Prime Accused In Connection With Ranjit Bora’s Murder
Guwahati: A pistol was recovered from the bike of the main suspect in the murder of Ranjit Bora.
This was informed by DCP Sudhakar Singh on Wednesday.
Three rounds of ammunition and a 9mm pistol were recovered from an abandoned warehouse.
As per DCP Singh’s initial inquiry, suggests to a robbery case.
Meanwhile, the police’s investigation which is still ongoing into the matter and it has come to light that the accused have been implicated in numerous criminal cases in the past.
It should be noted that the main suspect, Amir Ali was arrested at his in-laws’ residence in the Morigaon district.
Ranjit Bora, the manager of the well-known milk company Purabi Dairy, was fatally shot in broad daylight on November 21 in the Panjabari area of Guwahati.
Later he was declared dead due to bullet injuries at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
The incident occurred while he went to bank to deposit money.
