PM Modi Chairs BJP Parliamentary Party Meeting Ahead of No-Confidence Debate in Lok Sabha
National Desk, 8th August: In preparation for the upcoming no-confidence debate scheduled in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a crucial meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Parliamentary Party.
The meeting saw the presence of prominent BJP leaders including the party’s national chief JP Nadda, as well as Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnaw and Mansukh Mandaviya.
A no-confidence resolution brought by the I.N.D.I.A will be debated in the lower house of Parliament against the Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration, an arrangement between opposition parties approved by Om Birla, speaker of the Lok Sabha.
The motion was introduced by MP Gaurav Gogoi, highlighting the Opposition’s demands for an in-depth discussion on the recent violence in Manipur and a statement from the prime minister regarding the matter.
On August 10, Prime Minister Modi is slated to respond to the debate surrounding the no-confidence motion, marking a significant event in the ongoing proceedings.
