PM Modi Expresses Deep Concern Over Unrest in Bangladesh, Stresses Commitment to Regional Peace and Minority Safety

National Desk, 15th August: In a statement that underscored India’s deep concern and commitment to regional stability, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, reaffirming India’s dedication to peace and the safety of minority communities in the neighboring country.

During his address, PM Modi highlighted the close ties and shared interests between India and Bangladesh, acknowledging the anxiety surrounding the current situation. “As a neighboring country, we fully understand the concerns regarding the developments in Bangladesh,” Modi stated, expressing hope for a swift return to peace and stability.

Emphasizing the importance of safeguarding minorities, the Prime Minister noted that the safety and security of Hindus and other minority groups in Bangladesh are matters of significant concern for India’s 140 crore citizens. He stressed that India’s commitment to regional peace extends beyond borders, driven by a sincere desire to see Bangladesh continue on its path of development.

“We are committed to peace,” PM Modi affirmed, adding that India remains dedicated to supporting Bangladesh in its ‘Vikas Yatra’—its journey of development—motivated by a broader concern for the welfare of humanity. The Prime Minister’s remarks reflect India’s ongoing efforts to ensure stability and harmony in the region, emphasizing solidarity with Bangladesh during this challenging period.
