PM Modi expresses grief over loss of lives in Nepal earthquake, says India ready to extend help

National Desk, 4th November: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences over the loss of lives and the damage caused by the earthquake in Nepal on November 4.

Taking to platform X, PM Modi wrote, “Deeply saddened by loss of lives and damage due to the earthquake in Nepal. India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to extend all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and we wish the injured a quick recovery”.

Nepal experienced powerful tremors with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale, resulting in the tragic loss of over 128 lives and leaving more than 100 people injured. The death toll is expected to rise as search operations continue amidst the debris.

This incident occurred late at night on November 3, with the tremors being felt in the Delhi NCR region and Uttar Pradesh as well.
