PM Modi Inaugurates Aero India 2023 in Bengaluru

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosted the 14th iteration of Asia’s largest air exhibition, Aero India 2023 on Monday in Bengaluru.

Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari of the Indian Air Force was in charge of leading the Gurukul formation during the fly pass at the ceremony’s opening.

The five-day event, with the slogan “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” will highlight the showcase of homegrown tools and technology and the creation of alliances with international businesses.

In order to draw in foreign investment, including joint ventures for co-development and co-production, the event will assist domestic Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and start-ups in integrating into the global supply chain.

The big air show had participation from over 80 nations and 65 CEOs of international and Indian OEMs are expected to attend, in addition to ministers from about 30 other nations.

At the Aero India 2023 exhibition, more than 800 defence companies, including over 100 foreign and 700 Indian firms took part.

Airbus, Boeing, Dassault Aviation, Lockheed Martin, Israel Aerospace Industry, BrahMos Aerospace, Army Aviation, HC Robotics, SAAB, Safran, Rolls Royce, Larsen and Toubro, Bharat Forge Limited, Hindutan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) and BEML Limited are some of the major exhibitors at the air show.

By showcasing India’s expanding aerospace and defence capabilities, the five-day event is meant to project an image of a powerful and independent “New India.”
