PM Modi: India Known for Low-Cost International Space Standard Technology

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the incredible feat of the private sector in launching the “Vikram S” satellite and claimed that India is now known for its low-cost international space standard technology.

Prime Minister Modi discussed the recently launched “Vikram S” satellite and claimed that with the launch of “Prarambh,” the nation witnessed fresh history being made in the space industry when addressing the nation on the 95th episode of “Mann Ki Baat.”

“On the 18th of November, the whole country witnessed new history being made in the space sector. On this day, India sent its first rocket into space, which was designed and prepared by the private sector of India. The name of this rocket is – ‘Vikram S’,” said PM Modi.

He added that the Vikram S Rocket has a variety of characteristics and certain essential components were manufactured using 3D printing.

While praising Indian classical music and its popularity abroad, Prime Minister Modi noted that the exports of Indian classical musical instruments have increased and that the USA and the UK are among their top customers.

“The export of musical instruments from India has increased by 3.5 times since last year. It shows the interest of the world in Indian classical music. In the last eight years, musical instrument exports have increased by 3.5 times; electrical musical instrument exports have also increased by 60 times. This indicates that the craze for Indian culture and music is increasing across the world,” PM Modi said.

“The biggest buyers of Indian musical instruments are developed countries like USA, Germany, France, Japan and UK,” he added.

The prime minister emphasised the depth of Indian culture by claiming that the globe has been forever changed by the genres of Indian music.

PM Modi emphasised the importance of preserving our ancient culture and tradition and expressed appreciation for Nagaland’s initiative to promote its folk music, calling it the state’s music and culture the glorious heritage of the nation.

PM Modi said, “We all always take pride in the fact that our country is home to the oldest traditions in the world. Therefore, it is also our responsibility to preserve our traditions and traditional knowledge, to promote it and to take it forward as much as possible. One such commendable effort is being made by some friends of our northeastern state of Nagaland. I liked this effort very much, so I thought, I’d share it with the listeners of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.”
