PM Modi to Attend Mega Jhumur Performance, Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit in February 2025
Assam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam in February 2025 to attend the Mega Jhumur Performance and the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit, following an invitation extended by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
CM Sarma announced the development on social media after a meeting with the Prime Minister in New Delhi, where they discussed the state’s ongoing and future developmental initiatives. “Today in New Delhi, I had the privilege to receive PM Narendra Modi’s guidance on various developmental issues. On behalf of the people of Assam, I also had the pleasure to invite him to bless the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit and Mega Jhumur Performance in February 2025, which he has kindly accepted to grace,” Sarma tweeted.
The Mega Jhumur Performance is expected to be a cultural highlight, celebrating the vibrant heritage of Assam. Jhumur, a traditional dance associated with the state’s tea garden communities, embodies unity and joy. The event will serve as a platform to showcase Assam’s cultural richness to a national audience while promoting its artistic diversity.
