PM Narendra Modi Greets Nation on 76th Independence Day

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the citizens on Monday on the 76th anniversary of India’s independence.

Taking to twitter, PM Modi wrote, “Greetings on this very special Independence Day. Jai Hind!”

India’s citizens have now enjoyed seven and a half decades of freedom since the nation’s independence from colonial rule on August 15, 1947. The 76th anniversary of Independence is being commemorated by the patriotic Nation with “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.” The entire nation is engulfed in patriotic fervour. To commemorate this historic occasion, several ministries of the Indian government, state and union territory governments, the armed forces, and the general public are organising a number of activities across the nation.

This Mahotsav (or grand celebration) is devoted to the people of India who have not only contributed to India’s advancement but also possess the strength and capacity to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of enacting India 2.0, which is inspired by the spirit of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

Numerous activities and initiatives have been planned throughout the past 75 weeks as part of the Mahotsav, or big celebration, to honour India’s independence and the illustrious past of its people, culture, and accomplishments.

The government is also celebrating the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign under the auspices of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav in order to urge people to carry the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 75th anniversary of independence.
