PM Narendra Modi Interacts With Leaders of Arunachal in Delhi

National desk, 17 May: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with tribal leaders from a number of tribes in Arunachal Pradesh at his official residence in Delhi on Tuesday. According to reports, during the meeting Modi emphasized the historical and cultural connections between the northeastern state and his home state Gujarat which they recently visited.

Modi expressed his joy at their visit to Gujarat and mentioned that Rukmini Lord Krishna’s wife is believed to be from Arunachal. According to the officials, he inquired about their impressions of Gujarat particularly of Kevadia and GIFT city.

Chief minister of Arunachal Pema Khandu stated that this was the first meeting between these tribal leaders and the prime minister and called it historic.

Many remaining border issues particularly those affecting his state and Assam have been settled with the help of the Central government, he claimed. Many tribal groups praised Modi for his administration’s improvements to the infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh.
