PM Narendra Modi Launches Various New Initiatives Under E-Court Project
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to a crowd at the Supreme Court of India and took part in the ceremonies for Constitution Day On Friday .
PM Modi also launched a number of fresh initiatives related to the e-court project during the programme. Virtual Justice Clock, JustIS mobile App 2.0, Digital Court and S3WaaS Websites are a few of the latest projects.
The Prime Minister wished everyone a happy Constitution Day and recalled that on this day in 1949, Independent India set the groundwork for a new future.
Additionally, the Prime Minister emphasised the significance of Constitution Day in the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsava year. He honoured Babasaheb Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and all of the constituent assembly members.
The Indian Constitution has been evolving and growing over the past 70 decades and PM Modi praised and congratulated them on behalf of the entire country on this momentous occasion for their numerous contributions from the legislative, judicial and executive branches.
The Prime Minister recalled the tragic event that occurred on November 26, when India was commemorating the historic occasion of Constitution Day. India was subjected to the largest terrorist attack in its history by the enemies of humanity.
He also paid respects to those who lost their lives in the heinous Mumbai Terror Attacks.
The nation is reinforcing the principles of the constitution and pro-people policies are empowering the country’s poor and women, the prime minister said, noting that the nation is the Mother of Democracy.
The Prime Minister highlighted the importance of raising India’s standing and reputation around the world as a unit as India would take over the G20 presidency in a week.
The Prime Minister emphasised the youth-centric spirit by stating that the constitution is renowned for its openness, being futuristi and its contemporary perspective. He recognised the importance of young people and their power in all facets of India’s development.
The Prime Minister emphasised the importance of raising youth awareness of the Indian Constitution to help them understand issues like equality and empowerment. He recalled the era when our constitution was written and the challenges the nation faced at the time.
The Chief Justice of India, Dr. DY Chandrachud, the Union Minister for Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju, the Justices of the Supreme Court of India, Sanjay Kishan Kaul and S Abdul Nazeer, the Union Minister of State for Law and Justice, Prof. S P Baghel, the Attorney General of India, Shri R Venkataramani, the Solicitor General of India, Shri Tushar Mehta and the President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Shri Vikas Singh were present on the occasion among others.
Since 2015, November 26 is being celebrated as Constitution Day to mark the adoption of the Indian Constitution by the Constituent Assembly in 1949.
