PM Narendra Modi Spotted In Special Blue Jacket in Parliament

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was spotted in parliament on Wednesday wearing a special blue jacket made from recycled plastic bottles. He will likely respond to the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha.

The Indian Oil Corporation gave him a jacket made of recycled PET bottles on Monday during India Energy Week in Bengaluru.

The purpose of the Energy Week was to highlight India’s growing strength as a leader in the energy transition.

To produce eco-friendly clothing for India Oil personnel and the armed forces, more than 10 crore PET bottles would be recycled.

With a budget of $19,700 crore the government recently unveiled the National Green Hydrogen Mission which will speed up the transition to a low-carbon economy, lessen reliance on imported fossil fuels and encourage the adoption of technology and market leadership in this area.

The finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman included a 35,000 crore spending in the budget to accomplish the goals of the energy transition and net zero and she designated green growth as one of the government’s top seven priorities.
