PM Narendra Modi To Visit Uzbekistan On Sep 15 To Attend SCO Summit
Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit on September 15–16.
The group’s leaders are anticipated to debate the likelihood of multilateral collaboration and reflect on the group’s efforts during the previous 20 years.
A statement from the ministry of external affairs said that the summit will be attended by leaders of member states of SCO, observer states, secretary general of the SCO, executive director of the SCO regional anti-terrorist structure (RATS), president of Turkmenistan and other invited guests.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Samarkand at the invitation of the President of Uzbekistan to attend the 22nd meeting of the council of heads of state of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the statement added.
It further stated that during the summit, the leaders are likely to address the current state and possibilities of multilateral cooperation while also reviewing the organization’s efforts over the last 20 years.
The meeting’s agenda is anticipated to include current topics of regional and international significance.
Moreover, PM Modi is probably going to have a few bilateral encounters outside of the summit.
