Police personnel collapsed at eviction site in Batadrava Than
Guwahati: Police personnel collapsed out while on duty as a result of the Nagaon government’s major eviction campaign, which covered 1200 bighas (almost 397 acres) of land on December 19.
Reports claim that police personnel identified as Bhaben Chandra Bora assigned to the Ullani police station collapsed out while on duty.
The official reportedly has health issues connected to blood hypertension.
Meanwhile, the eviction drive has been carried out at in large areas like Hai Dubi, Jamai Basti, and Shanti Jan Bazar.
Notably, a mosque that had been erected on government reserve property had also been destroyed.
Both a sizable police force and a sizable number of administrative staff have been sent out. Till now, peaceful eviction drives are underway.
Approximately 1,200 bighas of land in several villages within the Dhing revenue circle would be evacuated, according to reports.
The occupants have been requested to leave the area after gathering their goods, and the administration has officially declared the eviction drive.
The nearby Morigaon district administration has been ordered to be on high alert by the state government as a precaution to help with the eviction campaign.
The aforementioned eviction campaign has received praise from the Batadrava Than Management Committee.
Officials from the district administration claim that almost 1,000 allegedly encroaching residents were given notifications to evacuate the land in October.
Another report claimed that the police and civil administration have been making all necessary preparations to guarantee that the eviction drive goes off without a hitch and without any unfortunate accidents.
The operation is under the direction of Satya Raj Hazarika, DIG of the Central Range of the Assam Police.
