Police Rescued 3 Kidnapped Minor Girls of Assam from Ahmedabad

Guwahati: The police in Ahmedabad on Saturday rescued three minor girls from Baithalangso in the West Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

The family members of the three girls filed a FIR at the Baithalangso Police Station regarding their disappearance from Toradubi on September 11.

Two minor boys were named in the FIR for allegedly abducting the young girls.

Following the start of an investigation, the police were able to locate the girls’ mobile phones, which revealed that they were currently travelling to Ahmedabad via train.

The minor girls were rescued by the Ahmedabad Railway Police after they were made aware of the occurrence, and the accused pair was also taken into custody.

The accused have been identified as Dhanesh Barman and Pawan Barman, both hailing from Baksa district.

According to reports, the police also rescued another minor girl and a boy in Ahmedabad.

The Baithalangso Police have returned from Ahmedabad with the minors who were detained and those who had been rescued.

It should be noted that the police had pulled over 20 West Karbi Anglong children from various locations across the nation in the span of just one month.
