Post-Diwali Price Hike: OMCs Increase Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices by Rs 62

New Delhi – Just after the Diwali festivities, oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced a price hike for commercial LPG gas cylinders, impacting businesses across India.

The cost for a 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi has risen by Rs 62, bringing the price to Rs 1,802 from the previous Rs 1,740.

This price adjustment is expected to significantly affect the hospitality industry—particularly restaurants, hotels, and other businesses reliant on LPG.

For many, this translates to higher operational expenses, which may, in turn, lead to increased prices for consumers.

This recent hike follows an earlier increase on October 1, when the price rose by Rs 48.50, highlighting an ongoing trend due to global market fluctuations.

The cumulative impact of these hikes puts added financial strain on small and medium enterprises, which often lack the flexibility to absorb such cost increases.

However, household consumers have seen no change in domestic LPG prices, providing some respite as the cost of cooking gas remains stable amidst rising commercial fuel costs.
