Premier League Club Manchester City Ties Up With Jio
Guwahati: Jio Platforms Limited (“Jio”) and Manchester City have established a new regional collaboration under which Jio, the nation’s top provider of digital services, would serve as the club’s official mobile communications network partner in India.
The leading sports and Entertainment Company in India, Reliance, enabled and supported the relationship through RISE Worldwide. By working together, Man City and Jio will create a range of entertaining experiences that fans can enjoy through Jio’s digital ecosystem, which includes JioTV, MyJio, Jio STB, JioEngage, and other applications and platforms, in addition to special giveaways and in-store promotions.
In accordance with the new agreement, Man City’s OTT platform CITY+ will be integrated into JioTV, giving Indian supporters additional access to exclusive club content like match highlights, live Manchester City Women’s team and Elite Development Squad fixtures, matchday content, and City Studios documentaries. With over 350 million downloads, JioTV is the second-largest OTT platform globally and is the leading digital video platform in India. It offers users access to over 900 channels in 16 languages across 12 genres.
As part of the new agreement, Jio’s associate brands, RISE and Viacom18, will also utilise multiple partnership rights across their football and sports services in addition to the Jio brand appearing throughout the club’s in-stadia and digital assets.
