President Draupadi Murmu to Visit Kaziranga
Guwahati: President Draupadi Murmu will visit Kaziranga on April 6. Droupadi Murmu will take part in the first day of the Gaj Mahotsav on April 7.
Gaj Mahotsav will be held in Kaziranga from April 7 to April 8 to mark the 30th anniversary of the elephant project which started in 1992.
Finance Minister Ajant Neog on Tuesday took stock of the preparations for various programmes of the event.
Kaziranga National Park has been decorated in a new form. The kaziranga national park along with the state government is all set to welcome the president.
The finance minister is hopeful that the event will be successful with a crowd of 20,000 to 30,000 people.
President Draupadi Murmu will arrive in Kaziranga on April 6 and inaugurate an elephant conservation exhibition after enjoying the beauty of Kaziranga with jeep safari in the Bagri forest area of Kaziranga National Park.
President Draupadi Murmu will take part in the first day of the Gaj Festival after an elephant safari in the kanhra forest area of the park on april 7.
