President Murmu and PM Modi Extend Eid-ul-Adha Greetings, Emphasize Unity and Togetherness
National Desk, 17th June: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt greetings to the nation, emphasizing the festival’s spirit of unity, sacrifice, and togetherness.
President Murmu, addressing the nation through social media, called upon citizens to pledge unity and work for the collective betterment of all, particularly the underprivileged. “Heartiest greetings of Eid-ul-Adha to all countrymen, especially Muslim brothers and sisters living in India and abroad!” she wrote. “This festival of sacrifice and renunciation gives us the message of sharing our happiness with everyone, especially with the needy. On this occasion, let us all take a pledge to work together for the benefit of all countrymen, especially the people of the underprivileged sections.”
Prime Minister Modi also shared his wishes on social media, underscoring the festival’s role in fostering harmony and togetherness within society. “Greetings on Eid-ul-Adha! May this special occasion further cement the bonds of harmony and togetherness in our society. May everyone be happy and healthy,” he stated.
Both leaders highlighted the festival’s importance in promoting solidarity and collective well-being, urging the nation to come together in the spirit of Eid-ul-Adha.
