Guwahati: President Droupadi Murmu, who is in Assam on a two-day visit offered prayers at the Maa Kamakhya Devalaya on Friday.
Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi and the chief minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma accompanied President Murmu.
President Murmu arrived in Guwahati yesterday evening. She then travelled to the campus of IIT Guwahati to officially open the Param-Kamrupa supercomputer facility and the laboratory for the research and production of high power microwave components.
She is scheduled to be in Dhubri today to officially open the medical college there. She will next proceed to Agyathuri to officially open the new railroad station.
