Prez Murmu to Lay Foundation of Digital Museum in Tripura on Oct15

Guwahati: President Droupadi Murmu will travel to Tripura to dedicate a digital museum at the famed Pushpabanta Palace on October 14.

The 105-year-old historical Pushpabanta Palace served as the Raj Bhawan for 46 years.

Speaking to the media, the state’s tourism minister, Pranajit Sinha Roy, announced that the ministry of tourism had approved the plan to convert the century-old palace into a digital museum and had allocated Rs 40 crores for the project.

He said that since taking office, the BJP-led administration had worked to promote the state’s tourism sector.

The minister observed that state-based tourist destinations steadily made their mark on the overall tourism industry.

All of the historical and natural tourist attractions have been updated with contemporary amenities, and ancillary services like hotels, culinary parks, and transportation have been integrated into the framework of tourist-friendly features.
