Prime Accused in Bihar Man’s Kidnap-Murder Case Held from Sarthebari
Guwahati: The prime accused in the kidnapping and murder of Bihar resident Jayvardhan Kumar has been taken into custody in Sarthebari of Assam.
The prime accused has been identified as Ayub Ali.
The Government Railway Police (GRP), Assam arrested Ayub from Sarthebari in Bajali district. The GRP is presently questioning the duo.
It should be noted that on November 12, criminals murdered Jayvardhan Kumar, and then they dumped his body into the Brahmaputra River. His ATM card was also used by the kidnappers to steal thousands of rupees.
Jayvardhan was reportedly abducted from a Dimapur-Bihar train, according to sources. He was followed by criminals from the Dimapur train station, and when he arrived at the Guwahati train station, his phone had been turned off.
A case had been reported to the police and extensive inquiries were conducted.
The police arrested Johor Ali and Ayub Ali after performing search operations in Sualkuchi. Jayvardhan’s mobile phone also has been recovered from the duo’s possession.
The GRP again arrested two individuals in connection with the incident in November of last year. These individuals were named as Jahangir Ali and Robiul Haque, both Kamrup Rural district residents.
With this arrest, a total of five people have now been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and murder case.
