Prime Minister Modi Leads Grand Yoga Day Celebrations in Vizag
Visakhapatnam, June 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today graced the 11th International Day of Yoga celebrations, unfolding against the stunning backdrop of the Visakhapatnam coastline. The Prime Minister, addressing a massive congregation, underscored yoga’s enduring significance and its profound ability to unite people, calling it a “universal gift” that transcends all divisions – be it age, origin, or geographical borders – bringing humanity closer through health, harmony, and consciousness.
The majestic event, made even more spectacular by the ceremonial presence of Indian Navy vessels anchored offshore, beautifully illustrated a seamless blend of ancient tradition and contemporary progress, as Visakhapatnam proudly hosted this globally recognized observance.
Prime Minister Modi also took the opportunity to laud the Andhra Pradesh government’s meticulous arrangements for the event. He particularly commended Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan for their exemplary leadership, hailing their dedication to championing yoga as “inspiring and commendable.”
“Yoga is for everyone—beyond boundaries, beyond backgrounds, beyond age or physical ability. It is a universal gift that unites humanity in health, harmony, and consciousness,” PM Modi articulated during his address. He further elaborated, “I am truly delighted that we are gathered in Visakhapatnam, a city that beautifully blends nature with progress. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chandrababu Naidu Garu and Pawan Kalyan for hosting such a wonderful event under their inspiring leadership.”
