Guwahati: Assam police arrested a prisoner who had previously escaped from custody in Morigaon pn Friday.
The prisoner had been brought to Morigaon Civil Hospital for an examination and was reportedly receiving medical attention there.
He allegedly smashed through the ceiling of his room last night in order to leave the hospital and avoid being arrested by the police.
He was identified by the police as Rubul Husain. However, his efforts were in vain because the police appear to have apprehended him once more.
Reportedly, he has been transported to the prison where he will be housed.
