Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Returns to Assam for Election Campaigning
Northeast Desk, 1st May: Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to make her presence felt in Assam once again as she returns for election campaigning, injecting new energy into the upcoming electoral battle.
Scheduled for today, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will lead a spirited rally in Balajan, Dhubri at 10 am, aiming to invigorate voters and rally support for Congress candidate Rakibul Hussain in Dhubri constituency.
This marks Priyanka’s second visit to Assam in less than a month, underscoring the state’s pivotal role in Congress’s election strategy. Her previous visit on April 16 focused on campaigning for Gaurav Gogoi, the Congress candidate contesting the Jorhat assembly seat.
The Congress General Secretary’s return to Assam underscores the party’s concerted efforts to garner support and make significant inroads in the state’s political landscape.
As Assam gears up for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections, with 47 candidates vying across four constituencies, anticipation builds for a consequential electoral contest. With Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s active involvement, the political landscape in Assam is set to witness heightened activity and intensified campaigning in the lead-up to the crucial polling day on May 7.
