Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to Lead Roadshow in Support of INDIA Bloc Candidates in Tripura

Northeast Desk, 12th April: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is set to participate in a roadshow in Tripura on April 16, as confirmed by a senior Congress leader on Friday.

The roadshow, organized in support of the opposition INDIA bloc candidates contesting in the Tripura West and Tripura East Lok Sabha constituencies, will cover key locations in the state capital.

“Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will arrive in Agartala on April 16 and will join the roadshow to urge the people to vote for the INDIA bloc candidates in both parliamentary constituencies and the assembly by-polls,” stated senior Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman during a press conference.

The roadshow will feature a speech by Priyanka Gandhi Vadra near Surya Chowmuhani, where she will appeal to the people to support the opposition candidates in the upcoming elections.

Roy Barman emphasized the critical juncture the country is facing, referring to it as a ‘dharmayuddha’, and urged the public to join the roadshow and ensure its success.

In the elections, Pradesh Congress president Asish Kumar Saha is contesting from the West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency as the opposition INDIA Bloc nominee, while former CPI(M) MLA Rajendra Reang is the opposition alliance candidate from the East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.

Polling for the West Tripura Lok Sabha seat and the Ramnagar Assembly constituency by-election will be conducted on April 19, while voting for the Tripura East Parliamentary constituency is scheduled for April 26.
