Probe Ordered into Noted Educationist’s Death at GMCH

Guwahati, 18th August: A sudden investigation has been initiated by the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) into the demise of respected educationist Deven Dutta. The former Vice Principal of Cotton College and a prominent consumer rights advocate passed away at the age of 81 late last night while under the care of the hospital.

The decision to launch an internal investigation follows suspicions of inefficiency and negligence surrounding his death. GMCH authorities suspect that the delay in providing the necessary blood could have been a contributing factor.

To delve into the circumstances, a team of three physician professors has been appointed for the inquiry. Professor and Head of Microbiology, Dr. Ajanta Sharma, Professor of Pathology, Dr. Usha Sarma, and Ujjal Kumar Sharma, Deputy Superintendent of GMCH, are entrusted with the task.

The investigation aims to shed light on the events leading up to Deven Dutta’s passing and to ensure transparency and accountability in the healthcare process.
