Northeast Desk, 25th February: Hundreds of individuals from diverse backgrounds gathered to extend a hearty welcome to a renowned Muay Thai professional fighter, recognized internationally for his stellar performances, upon his arrival at Donyi Polo Airport in Hollingi on Saturday afternoon.
Among the throng were the fighter’s father, Nabam Tullong, along with family members, relatives, close friends, and well-wishers, eagerly awaiting his return. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as the crowd eagerly anticipated the arrival of the young fighter back to his homeland.
This accomplished fighter has garnered numerous awards, certificates, and trophies for his exceptional performances. Recently, he showcased his skills at the third international championship belt held at Potong boxing stadium in Thailand.
Hailing from Gumto village in Gumto circle of Papum Pare in Arunachal Pradesh, Nabam Abraham (Tei) holds a degree in business administration from Unisex University, London, UK. He has undergone extensive training abroad since 2022, participating in over 17 events and consistently achieving commendable results, earning medals, awards, and accolades for his state, country, and himself.
Addressing the media, Abraham expressed his happiness at the warm reception and gratitude for the love and affection shown by the gathering. He particularly thanked his parents for their unwavering support throughout his journey, both in training and competitions.
Reflecting on his success, Abraham emphasized the importance of determination, dedication, and thorough preparation in achieving victory in any endeavor. He revealed his plans to compete in Cambodia for his next fight, pending discussions with his team.
Encouraging the youth to pursue sports, Abraham stressed the significance of maintaining good health, spirit, and professionalism. He urged them to strive to become role models in society, contributing positively to their communities while also achieving personal success.
