Professor Neena Gupta recieves the 2021 Ramanujan prize

Guwahati: Professor Neena Gupta, an illustrious mathematician at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata has been awarded the 2021 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize for ‘ Young Mathematicians from developing countries.

She has been conferred the prestigious award for her outstanding work in affine algebraic geometry and commutative algebra.  She is the only 3rd woman to receive the Ramanujan Prize. Apart from this, she has also received the Young Scientists Award of the Indian National Science Academy in 2014.
