
Professor Ramesh Kumar Rawat Meets Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathur
Northeast Desk, 1st August: Professor Ramesh Kumar Rawat, Registrar of Sikkim Professional University, recently met with the newly appointed Governor of Sikkim, Om Prakash Mathur, at the Raj Bhavan in Gangtok. The meeting was an opportunity for Professor Rawat to extend his greetings and best wishes to Governor Mathur on his new role.
During the visit, Professor Rawat presented Governor Mathur with the traditional Sistachar, a gesture of respect and goodwill. He also offered a khada and a bouquet of flowers as part of the warm welcome. Additionally, Professor Rawat gifted the Governor a photo frame and a memento featuring the national anthem penned by Rabindranath Tagore.
The meeting was attended by Professor Rawat’s wife, Savita Devi Rawat, and his son, Leeladhar Rawat. The occasion was marked by cordial exchanges and demonstrated the strong cultural and academic ties between the university and the state’s new gubernatorial leadership.
