Property Worth Rs. 4 Crores Destroyed in Massive Fire in Assam’s Lakhimpur

Guwahati: A massive fire that broke out in the Lakhimpur district of Assam caused shop owners to lose items worth Rs. 4 crore in the early hours of Monday.

According to reports, the fire at Lakhimpur’s Harmoti Bazar destroyed up to 35 establishments.

However, the inverter short circuit is thought to be the cause of the fire, the specific cause has not yet been determined.

One of the business owners remarked, “I had a shop of Puja goods worth Rs. 7 lakh which is now completely destroyed in fire.”

The fire departments from Bihpuria, Narayanpur, and Lakhimpur were contacted by the Harmoti Police station’s night patrol team when the incident took place.

The fire was put out by four fire brigade vehicles.
