Guwahati: The officer-in-charge of Moran Police Station and sub inspector in the Dibrugarh district of Assam have both been suspended with immediate effect.
The suspended OC has been identified as Bijoy Daimary and the sub-inspector is Bhaben Dutta.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Shwetank Mishra of Dibrugarh issued the suspension order on Sunday.
Both the person has been suspended for physically abusing at least ten kids inside the jail. On the other side, the young people were charged of assaulting the wife of the officer-in- charge.
Following allegations against him Bijoy Daimary was transferred to the reserve close on October 9.
