Punjab: Bhagwant Mann Takes Oath as CM

Guwahati: Bhagwant Mann have been sworn on Wednesday at Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mann in the swearing-in ceremony.

Only Mann took the oath at today’s swearing-in event.

The event was scheduled to begin at 12.30 p.m., but it was postponed until around 1.25 p.m.

Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Manish Sisodia, Delhi minister Satyendar Jain, and other leaders wearing yellow turbans were also present.

Following the ceremony, Mann stated that his government will address issues such as unemployment, corruption, and the condition of the state’s farmers, according to national media reports.

“The job will begin today,” he stated.

According to the report, he added that the state’s schools and hospitals will be renovated, similar to what the AAP government in Delhi has done.

Several singers and artists attended the event, including Gurdas Mann, Karamjit Anmol, singer-turned-politician and Congress MP Mohammad Sadique, and Amar Noorie.

The celebration, which was attended by AAP supporters from across the state, had been meticulously planned. The males wore yellow turbans, and the women wore a yellow ‘dupatta.’

Mann had invited residents of the state to his swearing-in ceremony, claiming that three crore Punjabis would also take the oath with him.

For the occasion, strict security precautions were planned.

The AAP swept to victory in the 117-member Punjab Assembly, defeating both the Congress and the SAD-BSP coalition.

Congratulating Mann, the AAP put out a tweet, saying “Punjab di Aan, Baan aur Shaan, Sardar”

“What a moment ❤️🥺 Punjab di Aan, Baan aur Shaan, Sardar @BhagwantMann takes oath as the Chief Minister of Punjab,” it tweeted.
