Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Admitted to Hospital in Delhi
Guwahati: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was admitted to a private hospital after he complained of stomach pain in Delhi on Wednesday.
The chief minister is currently receiving medical care at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital at Sarita Vihar locality. He has been diagnosed with a stomach infection.
The punjab Chief minister earlier in the day praised the state police and the anti-gangster task force for carrying out an operation against two gangsters in the state effectively. Gangsters Jagroop Singh Roopa and Manpreet Singh, aka Mannu Kusa were killed in a shootout with the Punjab Police in Amritsar’s Bhakna village, police said.
They were allegedly complicit in the murder of musician Sidhu Moose Wala and were slain in a battle with the Punjab Police that lasted almost five hours.
Mann claimed in a statement released here that the Punjab administration, which is led by the Aam Aadmi Party, has declared a determined war against gangsters and other anti-social forces in the state.
On July 7, Mann and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur tied the knot in a customary Sikh “Anand Karaj” ceremony.
