
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Progresses into West Bengal
National Desk, 25th January: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra made its entry into West Bengal, with a warm welcome from Congress president Adhir Chowdhury as it crossed Bakshirhat in Cooch Behar district. Gandhi expressed confidence in the INDIA bloc, highlighting the yatra’s association with justice (Nyay) amid perceived injustice in the country. He attributed the spread of hatred and violence to BJP and RSS.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, having concluded its journey in Assam, traversed Golakganj, Dhubri district. Gandhi, accompanied by senior leaders, engaged with people, particularly from economically backward sections, during a visit to a tea stall. The tea stall owner expressed surprise and pleasure at Gandhi’s unexpected visit.
Initiated by Gandhi, the yatra commenced from Manipur on January 14 and is scheduled to wrap up in Mumbai on March 20. The Assam leg of the march, starting on January 18, covered 833 km across 17 districts, showcasing the yatra’s extensive reach and engagement.
