Railway Officer Held for Selling Confiscated Goods In Guwahati
Guwahati: A railway officer has been arrested in Guwahati of Assam for attempting to resell items that had been seized by the railway during various raids.
The arrested officer has been identified as Imdadur Rahman.
According to reports, Rahman served as the New Guwahati Railway Department’s section officer.
Reportedly, a truck with the registration number AS01 BC4283 was allegedly used by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), New Guwahati, to try to sell seized commodities.
The arrested railway officer has been booked under case number 08/2022U/S-3(a)RP(UP) Act.
An investigation into the case is underway.
