Rajasthan: 5 Dead, 25 Injured In Road Mishap In Pali
Guwahati: At least five people were killed and more than 25 others were injured in a late-night vehicle accident in Pali district of Rajasthan on Friday.
As per reports, a tractor trolley and a vehicle allegedly collided in the Sumerpur region of the Pali district. Additionally, the victims were present in the tractor.
Reportedly, the police and several ambulances rushed to the spot immediately after the incident and the injured people were shifted to the hospital for medical attention.
As per the officials claim, that the victims were struck by a speeding truck as they travelled in a tractor trolley to the Ramdevra temple in the Jaisalmer area.
Meantime, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his sorrow over the accident.
“The accident in Pali, Rajasthan is saddening. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. I pray for a speedy recovery of those injured,” said Prime Minister’s Office in a tweet.
The accident’s victims’ deaths were mourned by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar.
“Anguished by the loss of lives in a road accident in Pali, Rajasthan. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured,” tweeted Vice President’s office.
