Guwahati: The Rajasthan Royals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) arrived in Guwahati on Saturday night to get ready for this year’s competition. The squad will play two games here as the host team.
With the publication of the IPL 2023 schedule, it was announced that the Rajasthan Royals, who have an agreement with the Assam Cricket Association (ACA) to promote the game in this region of the nation, will play two of their league games this season at the ACA Barsapara Stadium.
Guwahati will host Rajasthan Royals as the home team against two other franchises during the opening match of the IPL 2023 season on March 31. The two Rajasthan Royals’ matches are scheduled to be played on April 5 and April 8 when they will take on Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals respectively.
The Rajasthan Royals team has arrived in Guwahati to start getting ready for the commencement of this year’s IPL. According to reports, the players will begin practising as soon as today.

As the IPL revealed the schedule for this year’s edition earlier on February 17, it was confirmed that Guwahati will this year get to see two IPL matches with Rajasthan Royals playing as the home team.
The first of the two IPL games will take place in Guwahati on April 5 when Rajasthan Royals take on Punjab Kings (Wednesday). The game will start at 7.30 p.m.
Moreover, Rajasthan Royals will play Delhi Capitals in the second IPL game on April 8 (Saturday), which will be played two days later. That match will begin at 3.30 PM.
