Guwahati: Joseph Marak, one of the victims in the model Rajkanya Baruah in drunk and hit case died in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday.
According to reports, Joseph’s blood circulation to the lungs was disrupted as a result of lying-in bed for long periods of time. He died as a result of a septic infection that had spread throughout his body.
The victim had already lost both of his legs in the incident and was being treated at the GMCH for a long period of time.
It may be mentioned that in a road accident in Guwahati on October 1, the former Miss India finalist Rajkanya Baruah injured eight PWD (Public Works Department) personnel with her car, one of whom Joseph Marakar, was seriously injured. Marakar was a resident of West Garo Hills and worked for the PWD as a labourer.
Rajkanya was also arrested by the Guwahati Police in the drunk and his case.
