Rajnath Singh: India Moving Towards Amalgamation Of 3 Armed Forces

Guwahati: Union defence minister Rajnath Singh stated on Monday that India is close to unifying its three armed services.

Singh stated that the goal is to create shared logistic nodes in order to effortlessly make the resources of one service available to the others.

The Union minister claimed the nation has achieved quick strides in the rail industry, with over 9,000 kilometres of lines having doubled in the last seven years, while addressing at a symposium on Army logistics in Delhi.

He claimed that in the five years before to 2014, the number was only close to 1,900 kilometres.

Meanwhile, army chief general Manoj Pande, IAF chief Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari and Navy chief Admiral R Hari Kumar along with NITI Aayog member V K Saraswat were among those who attended the seminar.

In his speech at the seminar, Singh discussed the need for cooperation and fusion between civil and military stakeholders, claiming that the presence of representatives from various departments on both sides demonstrated a shared commitment to achieving the objective as India approached a “Amrit Kaal.”

He added, “Our effort is to create shared logistic nodes so that resources of one service can be effortlessly made available to other services,” saying, “We are swiftly working towards jointness of the three services.”

Speaking at the ceremony at the Manekshaw Centre in Delhi Cantonment, Singh stated that one of the industries that benefited the most from the collaboration was logistics.
