Rang Ghar & Sivasagar Progress Taken Up As Akhil Gogoi Meets Assam CM In Delhi
Guwahati: Raijor Dal chief and Sivasagar MLA Akhil Gogoi met with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma upon the latter’s arrival in Delhi on Wednesday.

Gogoi informed that talks were held over the medium of education in the state, an issue that has been embroiled in a lot of debates and discussions recently.
He said, “We spent some time talking about the educational medium in Assam. The CM expressed his opinions on the subject. Former MP Ramen Deka was with me during the sessions.”
The Sivasagar MLA further said, “The honourable CM today approved various long-pending things connected to the development of Sivasagar. The funding of Rs 1 crore for the study to designate Sivasagar as a State Heritage Site was approved by him. The money will be distributed in a couple of days.”
Speaking further on one of the issues that he had put forward several times in the past, Gogoi said,”The CM has today asked that state tourist department to take steps to stage a light and sound show at the iconic Rang Ghar.”
The MLA said, “CM Sarma has given me his word that the Sivasagar University under Cooperative Management will be changed to a general university in April of next year, when the new budget is announced.
He continued by saying that both constituencies will now have access to the medical college that had been offered to the Thowra constituency.
Gogoi went on to thank CM Sarma for addressing the outstanding concerns and finding a swift solution.
