Rare celestial event: Jupiter-Saturn to come very close on December 21
The year 2020 would see its last celestial rare event as Jupiter and Saturn to to come very close to each other on December 21. The two planets physical distance will be around 735 million km in December 21 which will be a rare space phenomena.
Director of M P Birla Planetarium, Debi Prasad Duari, said “If two celestial bodies visually appear close to each other from Earth, it is called a conjunction. And such conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter is at times called a great conjunction.” The two planets will next come comparably come close on March 15, 2080.
