Ratan Tata, Indian Industrial Icon, Passes Away at 86

National: Ratan Tata, the former chairman of Tata Sons and one of India’s most influential industrialists, passed away on October 9 at the age of 86.

Tata, known for his visionary leadership and commitment to philanthropy, was a central figure in shaping both the Tata Group and India’s economic landscape.

N. Chandrasekaran, the current Chairman of Tata Sons, expressed deep sorrow in a statement, saying, “It is with a profound sense of loss that we bid farewell to Mr. Ratan Naval Tata, a truly uncommon leader whose immeasurable contributions have shaped not only the Tata Group but also the very fabric of our nation.” He praised Tata as a mentor, guide, and friend whose values of excellence, integrity, and innovation led the Tata Group to global prominence while staying true to its ethical principles.

Tata’s philanthropic efforts, especially in education and healthcare, were highlighted as transformative, having “touched the lives of millions.” Chandrasekaran assured that Ratan Tata’s legacy of humility and compassion would continue to inspire the Tata Group’s future endeavors.
