Entertainment Desk, 12 June: It’s been a long time since another Assamese film. Actor Ravi Sharma’s film Sri Raghupati has broken the previous record. There was a lot of discussion about the film. There is same question for everyone have you seen Raghupati film? This popularity of the film is evident from the hue and emotion it has taken at the box office.
According to reports, the film earned Rs 80.5 lakh on Sunday alone. This is the highest grossing of Assamese cinema in a day. Many entered cinema halls on Sunday to watch the film as a holiday. Saturday’s collection was more than 65 lakh. Along with this, the film has earned more than Rs 3.3 crore in a week.
The film hit the theatres two days late as it faced problems in releasing on the scheduled day. But from day one it hinted at earnings and proved the same. Sri Raghupati earned 17 lakh on the first day, 38.8 lakh on the second day, 41.7 lakh on the third day, 43 lakh on the fourth day, 44.5 lakh on the fifth day, 65 lakh on the sixth day and 80.5 lakh on Sunday.
Actor Ravi Sharma is also happy with Raghupati’s success. He also expressed his gratitude to the people for making the sufferings of the popular actor of Assam worthwhile.
