Remote Indian Village Receives Vital Healthcare Boost Through Military-Led Medical Camp
Guwahati, 10th June: In a landmark healthcare endeavor, Mago village, often hailed as India’s gateway village due to its proximity to the border, recently welcomed a comprehensive medical and eye camp orchestrated by a team of doctors from Gajraj Corps. This initiative aimed to bridge the healthcare gap for the local populace, who face challenges accessing medical services amidst the village’s rugged terrain and difficult routes.
The commendable efforts of the medical team to extend healthcare aid to this isolated enclave reflect their unwavering dedication to serving remote communities. Armed with essential medical supplies and expertise, the team conducted screenings, consultations, and diagnostic tests for a total of 94 patients during the camp.
Given the prevalence of ocular health issues in remote areas, the medical team prioritized screening for such conditions. Out of the 94 patients examined, 11 were diagnosed with cataracts, necessitating surgical intervention.
These patients have been enlisted for cataract surgeries, meticulously planned to ensure comprehensive care and post-operative assistance. This initiative underscores the Indian Army’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services to remote communities, irrespective of geographical challenges.
Doctors emphasized the imperative of reaching underserved populations, reaffirming their mission to leave no individual behind in accessing healthcare. They lauded the collaborative efforts of local authorities and volunteers in facilitating the camp’s success, highlighting the significance of teamwork in such endeavors.
The medical and eye camp in Mago village forms part of a broader initiative aimed at bolstering healthcare accessibility in remote and underserved regions across the nation. Beyond addressing immediate health concerns, the positive impact of the camp fosters awareness about the importance of regular medical check-ups and the availability of treatment options.
