Renowned actor and co-producer of ‘Kokadeuta Nati aru Hati’ Kamal Bora dies of Japanese Encephalitis
Guwahati, 26th October: Veteran Assamese Film Producer and actor Kamal Bora passed away on October 26 in Kampur of Assam.
He had been undergoing treatment after testing positive for Japanese Encephalitis.
However, he succumbed to his illness at around 8 am today.
Bora was a co-producer in the popular Assamese film ‘Kokadeuta Nati Aru Hati’ (1948), which featured Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and the late Nipon Goswami, among others. Besides his role as a co-producer, he also acted in the film.
Initially, Bora was admitted to a hospital in Guwahati for treatment but was later brought to his residence in Kampur.
The renowned producer breathed his last at his Kampur residence this morning.
