Guwahati: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik built a five-foot-tall sand sculpture with an installation of 1,213 mud tea cups on the Puri beach in Odisha to wish Prime Minister Narendra Modi a happy 72nd birthday.
Pattnaik has created a 5-ft high sand sculpture of PM Modi with the message ‘Happy Birthday Modi Ji’ by installing 1,213 mud tea cups. He used about five tonnes of sand for the sculpture.
Pattnaik has produced a unique sand sculpture of the politician on each of PM Modi’s birthdays.
“These mud tea glasses serve as a visual representation of PM Modi’s rise from tea vendor to country’s prime minister. Here, I use my artwork to send PM my very best wishes ” Sudarshan said.
Padma Shri Sudarsan has competed in more than 60 international sand art festivals and competitions and has garnered numerous awards for the nation. He always strives to use his artistic medium to convey a social message.
