Residents of OIL Township in Duliajan Alarmed as 2 Leopards Wander Through
Guwahati: Two adult leopards are said to have wandered into the Oil India Limited (OIL) township in Duliajan in Assam’s Dibrugarh district, which has terrified the residents.
Given that the township is close to the jungle, it is assumed that the leopards may have wandered into it in quest of food.
A member of the OIL staff first noticed the two leopards in the vicinity, and they were promptly reported to the forest department.
Now that the forest officials have arrived on the spot, work is being done to find the leopards and capture them before they cause any damage.
