Guwahati: Results for 2442 posts of Sub-Inspector (SI), AB, and UB Constables have been announced by the State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) on Sunday.
The results were uploaded at www.slprbassam.in.
A total of 7,073,328 candidates appeared for the post of 5,262. The written exam was held across 15 districts of Assam.
Of the 5,262 posts, 306 posts in UB have been filled, while 278 posts in AB have been filled, and 42 posts have been left vacant.
707 candidates were female and 4493 were male in the results that were made public today.
Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta explained to media representatives that a number of considerations went into the recruitment process before a decision was made. He also hoped that everyone who had been appointed would work for the state’s whole populace.
On September 22, appointment letters will be given to the chosen candidates at Khanapara’s Veterinary Ground. All candidates have been told to show up at the location that day at 9 a.m.
