Rhino Skeleton Found at Assam’s Manas National Park
Guwahati, 2nd August: The skeleton of a one-horned rhinoceros was found at Manas National Park in Assam on Tuesday night.
According to reports, the skeleton was found in the Bansbari zone of the national park.
It is believed that the rhino died as a result of a struggle with another rhino.
Forest officials were informed soon after.
The incident serves as a sobering reminder that rhino poaching persists in the area despite the Assam Police’s unwavering efforts, which allowed the state to report no rhino deaths as a result of poaching in 2022.
