Rinchenpong Native Bindhya Subba Becomes First National-Level Yoga Judge from Sikkim

Northeast Desk, 30th September: Bindhya Subba, a dedicated yoga practitioner and trainer from Rinchenpong, has become the first yoga judge from Sikkim to officiate at a national-level competition. This significant achievement marks a new milestone in her impressive career and highlights her impact on the world of yoga both locally and nationally.

Subba, who holds over 500 hours of certified yoga teacher training, has been a transformative figure in Sikkim’s yoga community. She has trained numerous students, many of whom have gone on to win gold medals at the National Yoga Olympiad. In addition to her training efforts, she has played a key role in promoting yoga education in schools throughout the state, helping to cultivate a new generation of young yogis.

Her journey to the national stage is marked by several important achievements. Subba has served as a yoga judge at district and state levels and coached Sikkim’s participants in the Khelo India Youth Games. Recently, she excelled in the National Yogasana Judge Training Program, where she topped the categories of “time judge” and “evaluation judge.”

Subba’s role as a judge at the National Level Yoga Competition in Chhattisgarh stands as a historic first for Sikkim. Her accomplishment not only showcases her expertise but also serves as inspiration for future yoga practitioners from the state, encouraging them to aim for success at the highest levels.

This recognition of Bindhya Subba’s hard work and dedication is a significant step forward for yoga in Sikkim, placing the small state firmly on the national yoga map.
